Gordon is a member of the Canadian Equity Selection Committee and the Global Resource Sector team, bringing more than fifteen years experience in researching and analyzing the natural resource sector, with a focus on oil and gas companies. Gordon's combination of attention to qualitative company fundamentals and extensive quantitative technical analysis has delivered solid returns.
In 1988, Gordon joined RBC Asset Management Inc., and focused on the resource sector within the Canadian Equities team. During his career, Gordon has held positions with Prudential Assurance Co. of Canada, as portfolio manager, Guardian Insurance Co., as portfolio manager and analyst and Royal Bank treasury department, where he was responsible for the management of their Corporate Investment Fund and Pension Fund.
Gordon graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and an MBA degree in Finance and Marketing. He also earned an MA in Economics from McMaster University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
