Marcello Montanari began his career in the investment industry in 1992. Prior to joining RBC Asset Management Inc., Marcello worked at Canadian Bond Rating Service (now Standard & Poor's), where he helped determine credit ratings for telecommunications and media companies.
Marcello has been a portfolio manager and member of the Canadian Equity Committee since 1999. He is responsible for selecting stocks in the Information Technology, Telecommunication Services and Media sectors for inclusion in the RBC Canadian Equity Fund and the RBC Balanced Fund. Most recently, Marcello was named co-manager of the RBC North American Growth Fund and the RBC Balanced Growth Fund.
Marcello earned a bachelor's of commerce degree in finance from Concordia University in Montreal and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
