Walter started his career at RBC Asset Management Inc. in 1995 as a money-market trader, before advancing to become a portfolio manager. His role evolved into managing all of RBC AM's short-term fixed-income mutual funds. Walter is a member of the Global Fixed Income & Currencies Committee.
Prior to joining RBC Asset Management, Walter was a money-market trader with RBC Dominion Securities. He also brings his experience from the Bank of Canada, where he held positions as marketing manager, capital-market analyst and senior bond trader.
Walter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Montreal and an MBA from Concordia University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
