Marty is a senior fixed-income portfolio manager whose responsibilities include day-to-day management of corporate debt in RBC Asset Management Inc. fixed-income mandates and the setting of overall corporate-bond strategy at the firm. Marty is responsible for monitoring bonds in the Telecommunication Services, Financial Services, Materials, Energy and regulated Utilities sectors. He is a member of the Global Fixed Income & Currencies Committee.
Before joining RBC AM in March 2000, Marty worked for six years at Canada Life Assurance, where he covered investment-grade U.S. corporate debt and analyzed U.S. private placements.
Marty graduated from the University of Toronto in 1991, and in 1997 became a CFA charterholder.
