James Learmonth joined RBC Asset Management in 2000 in the Mutual Fund Accounting area where he succeeded in various roles and responsibilities, leading to a position with the U.S. Equity team as a Research Associate in 2003. His role continued to expand over several years before assuming management responsibility for the U.S. Utilities sector and oversight of the U.S. equity portion of the RBC Jantzi Global Equity and RBC Jantzi Balanced Funds in October 2007. In May 2009 he began to assist in the management of the RBC $U.S. Income Fund and the RBC North American Dividend Fund.
James graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours (Finance) in 2000 and earned his CFA designation in 2006.
