Jane has been managing emerging-market portfolios since 1994, and in 1999, assumed responsibility for RBC Asset Management Inc.'s debt strategies for emerging markets including Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Jane manages allocations for several of the firm's fixed-income funds, which invest in sovereign debt, corporate bonds and currencies. She previously headed the Latin American Private Client discretionary portfolio management team of RBC Asset Management, where she oversaw Latin American bond allocations.
Between 1988 and 1994, Jane was product manager for money-market investments and interest rate risk-management tools at Royal Bank of Canada‘s Treasury division. Before joining RBC, she held positions as a journalist and as an advisor to Canada's minister responsible for regulating financial institutions.
Jane earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996.
